David Skeet Families, please join us for Parent-Teacher Conferences on Monday, February 23 from 10:30 AM-6:00 PM. There will be no school for students that day, as teachers will be meeting with families to discuss student progress. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn how we are supporting your child academically and socially and to partner with us for continued success. We will be providing lunch and dinner for families who attend, and the first class to reach 100% participation will earn a special class party. Let's come together to make this an important and meaningful event for our students - we look forward to seeing you there!

House Bill 253 is being heard 02/09 at 8:30 AM, and your voice matters.

If this bill passes it will cause a $47 million dollar shortfall for GMCS this year - but there is still time to stop this legislation from moving forward. We are asking our community to please call and email members of the House Education Committee and our local legislators and urge them to vote NO on HB 253.

Please know this: GMCS is doing everything within its power to avoid any negative consequences to our students, staff, and community. We are actively advocating, working with legislators, and fighting to protect the funding our students depend on. A few minutes of your time telling our legislators to vote NO on House Bill 253 will make a real difference. Thank you for standing with our students and schools.

We are asking our community to please call and email members of the House of Education Committee and our local legislatures and urge them to vote NO to HB 253.

David Skeet Families,
It’s officially iMSSA Middle-of-Year Testing Week for our amazing 3rd–6th graders, and we are SO excited to see all the growth our students have made! Please take a look at our iMSSA Checklist. Each day has its own session -Reading, Math, and Language Usage.

Please help us by making sure students: Arrive on time, Get a good night’s sleep, Eat breakfast, and Bring their BEST effort!

The Interim Measures of Student Success and Achievement (iMSSA) is a short, computer-based assessment that helps us see how students are growing in reading, math, and language skills throughout the year. It guides teachers in planning instruction and supports students in reaching grade-level goals.

As a bonus, students who attend every day will earn a special incentive on Friday, 12/19 at 2:15 PM! #DSEProud #TestingWeekShineBright
