It’s officially iMSSA Middle-of-Year Testing Week for our amazing 3rd–6th graders, and we are SO excited to see all the growth our students have made! Please take a look at our iMSSA Checklist. Each day has its own session -Reading, Math, and Language Usage.

Our amazing food service partner, SFE, is helping us celebrate the season by providing Thanksgiving meals at all area schools! 🥰

Join David Skeet on Monday, November 17 as we share a warm meal and celebrate the season of gratitude with our DSE families. Older siblings may join younger siblings during the younger sibling’s lunch time (for example, a 5th grader may eat with their Kindergarten sibling when families come) so families can enjoy their meal together. Visitor & staff plates are $6, and tickets must be purchased in advance. Once tickets are sold out, we cannot provide more. Tickets are going fast, so please stop by the front office to get yours today!

We are kindly asking families to send in a photograph of their Veteran along with their name, branch of service, years served, and their relationship to your student. David Skeet Elementary School is hosting "Launch into Literacy" night on Tuesday, September 16, 2025. The event starts at 5:00 PM and ends at 7:00 PM. Come gain a reading skill to help your child succeed. Prizes will be given to all families that attend. Food and beverages will be served. See you there! We distributed 30,000 meals in the form of 5-day meal kits to many children in the community.
We prepared hot meals onsite at 5 Gallup area parks using our hot dog carts! We served burgers, BBQ, and other kid-approved meals to our community kids!
Plus, we offered hot meals at all 33 GMCS school sites for all children during July. At SFE, feeding kids is our favorite summer activity!
