Tuesday (9/15) we have a family reading night at the school. Our theme is "Reading Under the Stars." Come gain reading skills to support your child's success. Gym doors open at 5 -6 PM. We will have catered food and prizes for families that attend.
In addition, picture day is Friday (9/18). Bring a smile!

David Skeet is going "bananas" for attendance! Our school-wide goal is to have students in school 95% of the time. Everyday your child is in school is one step closer to success. Today, Ms. Diaz's 6th Grade class received an attendance award for having 10 days of perfect attendance. See the flyer for your child's class attendance. We update our board daily in the front foyer. Let's aim for 95%!

Volleyball season is upon us! David Skeet practice for 5th and 6th grade Volleyball begins Monday, August 17 at 3:15 PM. Practice ends at 4:30 PM. Practice is weekly Monday - Thursday.
Volleyball parent/guardian meeting is Wednesday, August 19 at 4:30 PM in the gym. Learn about expectations and what it takes to be a member of the LOBO team.

DSE Beginning-of-Year iMSSA Testing is here!
Our 3rd-6th grade students will begin their Beginning-of-Year (BOY) iMSSA assessments next week. These assessments in Reading, Language Usage, and Math help our teachers understand what students already know, identify areas where additional support is needed, and plan instruction for the year ahead.
Testing Schedule:
Aug. 17: Reading Session 1 – 9:00 AM
Aug. 18: Reading Session 2 – 9:00 AM
Aug. 19: Language Usage Session 1 – 9:00 AM
Aug. 20: Language Usage Session 2 – 9:00 AM
Aug. 24: Math Session 1 – 9:00 AM
Aug. 25: Math Session 2 – 9:00 AM
Families, you can help. Please make sure students get a good night's sleep, arrive at school on time, eat breakfast, and come ready to take their time and do their best. We have something special planned. Students who attend EVERY testing session with no absences will earn an AMAZING incentive on Friday, August 28 at 1:00 PM!
Our goal isn't simply to finish the test, it's for every student to show us what they know and what they're ready to learn next! Let's start the year strong.
David Skeet Families, Volleyball season is here! We will begin 5th and 6th Grade Volleyball practice on Monday, August 17. Practice is weekly Monday-Thursday from 3:15 PM - 4:30 PM.
